Man dies in car and motorcycle crash

A man in his 50s has died following a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Kent Police said a grey Nissan Qashqai was being driven on the A28 in Rolvenden towards Hastings when it crashed with a silver Honda CB500 motorcycle at about 11:50 BST on Saturday.

The force said the Honda, which was travelling in the opposite direction, had been in convoy with two other motorcycles.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene near Frog's Lane, confirmed. His next of kin have been informed.

Kent Police said officers from its serious collision investigations unit were carrying out enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles beforehand is urged to contact police.
