A 46-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing in which three people were injured in Borough Green.

Kent Police said armed officers were called to a property in Sevenoaks Road, at about 07:40 BST on Thursday, following reports of a domestic incident.

One man was taken to a London hospital with injuries described as life-changing. A second man was taken to a local hospital, while a woman sustained minor arm injuries, the force said.

The suspect was arrested at 18:25 in Walworth Road, London, and is in custody while inquiries continue, police said.

A police helicopter was used as part of a search.

At least six police vehicles and cordons were in place along Sevenoaks Road on Thursday morning from the roundabout at Western Road to Rock Road.

Crime scene investigators wearing white forensic suits arrived at the scene at about 11:10.

Mike Taylor from Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council said serious incidents were rare in the area.

"Normally our biggest problem is traffic and a bit of low-level anti-social behaviour, nothing serious though," he said.
