Biker in critical condition after crash with van
GoogleA biker is in a critical condition in hospital after a road accident in the south of Scotland.
Police Scotland said the 38-year-old man was driving an orange KTM 125 motorbike which was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Transporter van.
It happened on the B7076 near the rear access for Gretna Services at 14:45 on Monday.
The biker was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries. The driver of the van was not hurt.
The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened at about 20:30.
Sgt Andrew Hogg said: "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch."
