A section of the M62 motorway in West Yorkshire has reopened after a multi-vehicle crash involving nine people.

The eastbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 24, near Huddersfield, was closed following a collision shortly before 05:00 BST.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the crash involved several vehicles, including a car that ended up on its roof. A total of five of the people involved received medical attention from crews.

National Highways confirmed all three lanes had reopened but warned drivers that delays were continuing between junctions 21 and 22.
