A30 reopens after serious crash

A major road has reopened after a serious crash involved an overturned car.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a grey Seat Cupra was travelling towards Exeter on the A30, just after 14:00 BST on Saturday, when it hit the central reservation and landed in the opposite carriageway.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it helped free one person from the car, with ambulance crews called to assist.

National Highways said the road was shut at Honiton between the A375 and A35 for several hours, but has since reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police on 101 quoting police log 0472.
