Two men have been charged with murder after the death of a footballer.

A post-mortem examination found Hendon FC player Ezekiel Williams, 26, from London, died in hospital from head injuries after an incident in the early hours of Sunday in Midsummer Boulevard, Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police said Sameull Hussein, 28, of no fixed abode, and Arman Uddin, 21, of Saxon Road, Luton, were both charged with one count of murder on Thursday night.

Both men were taken into custody ahead of an appearance at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court later.

A third man, 30, also from Luton, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail while the investigation continues.
