North Show brings 'excitement' to Guernsey park

Crowds have gathered for the annual two-day North Show and Battle of Flowers in Guernsey.

The event, organised by Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society, took place at Saumarez Park on Wednesday and Thursday.

Among the events was a display from Britain's Got Talent basketball display team Barjots Jumpers, a dog agility show, a car rally, a fairground and the Battle of Flowers.

Show manager Josh Cotran-Gabriel said the organisers were "really proud" of the event as the team had found "something for everyone to enjoy".

Visitors said they had fun at the show, with many bringing their children and grandchildren along.

Pauline Eyre, who was among the visitors, said: "As soon as the grandchildren came in, the excitement on their faces when they saw the big rides, it was just wonderful.

"You get to meet lots of your friends who you haven't seen for months, which is lovely."
