How did pilots in RAF plane crash escape with minor injuries?
An RAF jet crashed and burst into flames but the two pilots inside managed to eject to safety with only minor injuries.
The Hawk T2 aircraft had been flying out of the RAF Valley station on Anglesey on Wednesday when it plummeted to the ground in nearby Pencarnisiog, narrowly avoiding homes.
The trainee and an experienced professional, who parachuted out of their plane moments before it crashed, are expected to make a full recovery after they were treated for their minor injuries.
Their ejection handle within the aircraft was pulled which helped blast the pilots clear of the aircraft and for a parachute to inflate before they hit the ground.
