Emergency services were attending the incident at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, according to travel system Inrix.

Thameslink and LNER services travelling through the area have been affected and disruption was expected until 15:00 BST, LNER added.

Great Northern and Thameslink customers have been advised no services can run between Stevenage and Finsbury Park until further notice.

LNER customers who would travel through Peterborough have also been told services will be cancelled or delayed.
