Driver arrested after child seriously hurt in crash

A child has been taken to hospital with a serious head injury after a car crash in Birmingham, police said.

Officers were called to Monyhull Hall Road, Kings Norton, shortly before 15:30 BST on Wednesday.

West Midlands Police said the driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

Officers have appealed for witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
