Police investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a caravan have named her as Susan Lumsden.

Northamptonshire Police was called to a caravan park on Ecton Lane, Sywell, at about 06:20 BST on Monday following reports of an assault.

A 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Det Ch Insp Ryan Catling said officers wanted to hear from anyone in the area, particularly in the caravan park, in the hours leading up to the incident.

"Our thoughts remain with Susan's family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time," he added.
