Firefighters rescue alpaca trapped in river
Getty ImagesAn alpaca has been rescued by firefighters after it became trapped in a river.
Crews from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service were sent to an unnamed road near Upper Eddington, Hungerford, at 13:43 BST on Thursday.
The animal was found stuck in a river, and firefighters from Newbury Fire Station, together with the Animal Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station, were able to recue it from the water.
The teams were on the scene for one hour and 36 minutes, before the alpaca was handed back to its owner, who was advised to contact a vet.
