Arrests made in island-wide drug searches
BBCAn individual suspected of selling illegal substances to youngsters was among those who have been arrested during targeted drugs raids.
Guernsey Police said it carried out warrant searches across the island this week in a bid to target suspected drug dealers.
Selling illegal substances to young people was "a serious aggravating factor," the force said.
It added: "Taking drugs off the street from where vulnerable islanders can easily access them remains a priority for Guernsey Police."
The force said the searches were part of its ongoing commitment to protect the public, particularly when safeguarding concerns come into play.
It said: "We are fortunate that Guernsey is a safe place to live, but we continue to work with the community to identify areas of concern and hear their advice about how to make it even safer."
Anyone with information on the distribution of illegal drugs can contact Guernsey Police on 01481 222222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
