The first batch of tickets for Glastonbury Festival have sold out in less than 30 minutes, according to the organisers.

The event will take place from 23-27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, after a fallow year in 2026.

Coach tickets have now sold out after less than half an hour, after going on sale at 18:00 BST on Thursday. General admission tickets go on sale at 09:00 BST on Sunday morning.

Jessi Dimmock from Glasto Cast, a podcast covering the festival, said: "It's the most stressful weekend of my year. I'll be there Sunday morning with my phone, my laptop, and my coffee and I will be stressed."

Festival organisers announced the first sell out in a post on Instagram.

General admission tickets are £408 for the 2027 festival. Dimmock said that she understands some people might "wince" at the higher prices.

"Anyone who has been to Glastonbury, it is magical. The small things are what makes it. It's just chaos in the best way," she added.

Dimmock said that Glastonbury Festival is "magical"

"I just think you can't count how much it is worth it for that money when you think of it in that respect.

"But I do understand, seeing it written down, you do wince at the fact that it now starts with a four rather than a three."

New booking system

People who want to buy a ticket on Sunday must have already pre-registered on the Glastonbury Festival website.

In recent years, organisers have introduced an automatic queuing system on the day of sale, with fans needing to be online before the start of the sale with a valid registration number.

This year, organisers have changed the way the booking system works, meaning people will have to enter their registration number upfront before entering the queue.

Previously, buyers would enter the number at the end of the process, which meant multiple people could log in to get extra places in the queue.

Now, if people put the registration number into a different browser or phone, they will end up at the same place in the queue.

Registration closed on 25 September, and will not reopen until after the October ticket sales.

Once on the other side of the queue, people can buy up to six tickets per transaction after paying a deposit.

Anyone who missed the registration deadline or is not able to buy a ticket on Sunday will get another chance during the spring resale.

Oasis not headlining

While the headliners for next year's festival have not yet been confirmed, Emily Eavis has said Oasis are not due to play despite speculation from fans.

The band announced a series of 2027 gigs across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US last week, leaving a potentially Glastonbury-shaped hole in their calendar.

But Eavis put those rumours to bed in a direct response to one Glastonbury-goer on social media.
