The mother of a man who died in a crash between his motorbike and a car said he was "a rare gem gone too soon".

Shayan Cooper, 24, died following the collision in Harvest Ride in Bracknell at about 16:25 BST on 8 October.

The loss of Cooper, who was from the town, has left his family "heartbroken and created a void that words cannot adequately describe", his mother said.

"Shayan was more than a son and brother; he was our pillar of strength, a voice of wisdom and an irreplaceable anchor in our lives," she added.

Cooper was a Kingston University graduate and worked for Thames Water.

"He was a focused, disciplined and ambitious young man who brought dedication and excellence to everything he pursued," his mother added.

"Grounded in his values, he lived a clean, purposeful lifestyle: he did not smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs.

"Away from his professional commitments, motorcycling was his passion, offering him quiet enjoyment and the simple freedom of the open road."

She added: "As his mother, my heart breaks for the future we were robbed of, but I am filled with immense pride for the extraordinary man he became."
