Free support for secondary school place sign-ups

Parents and carers who struggle when using the internet will be offered free support with applying for secondary school places online.

The free digital drop-in sessions will be held on Thursdays throughout September and October, at the Civic Centre, in Wolverhampton.

They are being run by the City of Wolverhampton Council's customer services team between 10:00 BST and 14:00 BST.

"I'd urge parents and carers to start thinking about their choices now and make sure they get their application in before the deadline of the end of October," said councillor Jeszemma Howl.

The application window for pupils who are due to start secondary school for the first time in September next year will open on Thursday and close on 31 October.

Surgeries to help parents apply for reception class places will be held from November to January.
