An appeal has been launched after a woman was hit by a car which failed to stop at a zebra crossing in Nottingham.

Police were called after a silver Audi hit the woman on the junction of St Ann's Well Road and Hedderley Walk, in St Ann's, at around 16:30 BST on 30 September.

The woman suffered swelling to her knee when the vehicle clipped her leg, before continuing in a north easterly direction from Nottingham city centre, police said.

Officers are now urging any witnesses to come forward with information.

Police constable Andy Finch said: "A number of people assisted the woman so we know there were witnesses who have not yet spoken to us.

"There will also have been other vehicles passing along St Ann's Well Road around this time who may have recorded footage of the incident."
