A police constable from Suffolk Police has been charged with two counts of sexual assault

A serving police officer has been charged with sexual assault.

PC Jack Long, 36, who had been working for Suffolk Police based at Halesworth, was charged on Monday with two counts of sexual assault by touching of two different women, as well as one count of assault on one of the women.

Suffolk Police said the alleged incidents took place in Beccles on 28 February.

Long is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 6 November and has been suspended from duty.
