Fatboy Slim to headline Lytham Festival in 2027
Rhodes Media/Lytham FestivalDJ Fatboy Slim has been announced as the latest headline act for next year's Lytham Festival.
The Praise You musician, whose real name is Norman Cook, will perform on Lytham Green on Friday 2 July, supported by dance artist Becky Hill.
It follows the recent announcement of Robbie Williams as a headline act at the annual five-day festival, which attracted more than 110,000 fans earlier this year.
Lytham Festival's organisers described Fatboy Slim as "simply an icon", adding his shows were "the stuff of legend".
"This is a night I have wanted to schedule for a long time, so I can't wait to welcome him to Lytham," said Peter Taylor, co-founder of Lytham Festival.
"His shows are the stuff of legend, and I have every confidence this will be a huge night filled with some of the best beats the world of electronic music has to offer."
Fatboy Slim has been a mainstay of the electronic music scene since the mid-90s, following the release of his debut album, Better Living Through Chemistry, in 1996.
Two years later his album You've Come a Long Way, Baby, containing several of his most famous tracks, was released to critical acclaim, charting at number one in the UK.
Becky Hill, who will be opening for Fatboy Slim, is a two-time BRIT Award-winner, best known songs such as Remember with David Guetta, and Gecko (Overdrive) with Oliver Heldens.
Tickets to see Fatboy Slim in Lytham will go on general sale at 09:00 BST on 4 September, and PayPal customers can access pre-sale tickets from 09:00 next Tuesday.
