Flood warning as heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted

Heavy rain and thunderstorms could cause disruption across Wales on Sunday, according to the Met Office.

Although some areas will miss the heaviest downpours, up to 4cm (1.5in) of rain could fall elsewhere.

The forecaster said it could also lead to flooding and travel disruption, with a yellow weather warning in place across the whole of Wales from 11:00 BST until 23:59.

However, the worst conditions are expected to become more isolated later in the evening, it added.

"Some flooding of a few homes and businesses [is] possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures," it added.
