A jury in the trial of a man accused of murder after a car was driven into a crowd of people in Nottinghamshire has been discharged.

Duane Anthony, 40, of Marton Road in Bulwell, had denied one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder after five people were hit by a car in Gedling Road in Arnold on 9 May. Tyler Fairman, 26, died from his injuries three days later.

Anthony's partner - Destiny Carrier, 29, of Lothair Road, Leicester - had denied assisting an offender.

On Tuesday, the jury at Nottingham Crown Court was dismissed for legal reasons. A new trial date has been set for 4 January.

Both defendants were remanded in custody.
