Murder charge after man, 24, stabbed to death

A man has been charged with murder after a 24-year-old was stabbed to death in a park.

Zherko Rasul Osman suffered serious stab wounds on Chapel Street in the Levenshulme area of Manchester just after 19:00 BST on Saturday and died at the scene.

Glenn Shitama, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place, Greater Manchester Police said.

He is due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court later today.
