The A38 southbound has reopened following a collision

The A38 in Derbyshire has reopened following a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Police said the southbound carriageway of the A38 between Coxbench and Little Eaton was closed, in a Facebook post on Monday morning.

Traffic officers Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene, according to National Highways.

The road has since reopened, however, the highways agency warned of ongoing delays of up to 70 minutes on the approach to the scene with seven miles of congestion.
