Delays as A1 closed due to three-vehicle crash
BBCPart of the A1 in Lincolnshire has been closed in both directions following a crash involving two lorries and a car.
Lincolnshire Police said the incident happened at about 06:20 BST, close to Little Ponton, near Grantham.
There were no reports of any injuries, but police said the road was expected to be closed for several hours due to "significant damage" to the central reservation.
National Highways said the road was closed between the A607 and B1174 junctions, with delays of up to 30 minutes in either direction on the approach.
Police said one lane of the southbound carriageway had reopened, but urged motorists to avoid the area.
The force said the northbound carriageway was expected to remain closed until mid-afternoon to allow recovery and repair damage caused to the central reservation.
The three vehicles involved in the collision were a Volvo HGV, an Iveco HGV and an Audi Q6, a police spokesperson added.
