A 52-year-old woman who was found dead at an address in Keighley was strangled, an inquest opening has heard.

Office administrator Joanne Whitham was found unresponsive by police and paramedics at the home she shared with her partner on New Stead Rise in the Riddlesden area at 18:55 BST on 11 August, Bradford Coroner's Court was told.

Meanwhile, a 59-year-old man whose death police said was linked to Whitham's, was identified by the same court as Kevin Moore.

A separate inquest opening into Moore's death heard he was found at his business premises seven miles away, on Tong Industrial Estate in Baildon, later the same day.

Described during the hearing as a "self-employed business owner", police said they received reports Moore's body had been found less than 20 minutes after Witham's death had been confirmed.

Coroner Caroline Chandler said police investigations were ongoing into both deaths and suspended both inquests until a later date.
