Three youths charged after fire at derelict building in Aberdeen

Three youths have been charged after a fire at a derelict building in Aberdeen.

Smoke could be seen across the city after the blaze took hold on Park Street shortly before 18:00 on Monday.

Several nearby roads were closed as emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police Scotland said the fire was being treated as deliberate and the youths would be reported to the relevant authority.

Several fire appliances, including a height vehicle, were sent to the scene.

Police had urged residents in the area to keep their doors and windows closed.

The building was badly damaged in a previous fire two years ago, and there was another fire there in April last year.
