Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Leicestershire.

Officers were called to the junction of Rugby Road and Brookside, in Burbage, just after 15:00 BST on Saturday, Leicestershire Police said.

The rider of a silver AP Tuono V4 motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, said the force.

The driver of a grey Jaecoo 5 car involved was not injured and no-one was arrested, officers added.

Det Sgt Kasie McMahon, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: "Our investigation to understand the circumstances of this collision is continuing and I'd like to speak to anyone who can help.

"I'm appealing for motorists who were in the area at the time and have dashcam to get in touch, as well as anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand."
