Firefighters tackle blaze in fourth floor tenement flat in Glasgow

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze which took hold in a fourth floor tenement flat in the north of Glasgow.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said six fire engines and specialist resources were sent to Stonyhurst Street in Possilpark at about 16:50.

Pictures posted on social media showed flames emerging from the roof of a building which was covered in scaffolding.

NG Homes was in the process of refurbishing and upgrading a number of buildings on the street.
