Multiple people were caught over the weekend as part of a police crackdown on dangerous driving.

Jersey Police officers used mobile speed cameras at several locations, including St Johns Village, Victoria Avenue, and Westmount Road.

They said a 33-year-old man was arrested for drink-driving after a crash on Saturday, and that 17 others were ordered to attend parish hall hearings. Six people were warned for speeding.

The force said there was "really good engagement" and that local residents were thankful for the intervention.

The first mobile speed camera to operate in Jersey was unveiled by police as part of Road Safety Week in November last year.

In September, police revealed its use had led to zero prosecutions in the first nine months.
