A boy has been left with life-changing injuries, after being attacked by a man who he had challenged about urinating in the street.

The 14-year-old was assaulted between 08:30 and 08:45 BST, at the rear of Kensington Street in Bradford, police said.

The victim told police he had seen a man who he described as "tall, fat and bald with a beard", urinating in public and questioned what he was doing before being attacked.

The victim was then taken to hospital for surgery for serious facial injuries.

Det Con Jenny Farrell said: "This was a particularly violent attack by an adult on a vulnerable 14-year-old boy which has caused him severe injuries.

"We'd like to hear from anyone who lives in the area who may have CCTV footage or information that will help identify the person involved."
