A 41-year-old man has died after the car he was driving entered the West Fen Drain in Frithville

A man has died after his car left a road and ended up in water.

Emergency services were called to Westville Road, Frithville, north of Boston, just after 09:45 BST on Thursday after a red Volkswagen ID4 crashed into West Fen Drain.

The car, which was heading towards Coningsby, was pulled out of the water but the 41-year-old driver was declared dead at the scene.

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have captured the vehicle on their dashcam or has other recorded footage before the crash to get in touch.
