Two seriously injured after car strikes bridge

Two people remain in hospital with serious injures after a car struck a bridge near Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Police said it received reports of a crash involving an Audi A4 in Erin Road just before 20:15 BST on Saturday.

On Monday the force said the driver and passenger both suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remained.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force.
