Woodland path cordoned off as rape investigated

A cordon has been set up at a woodland path as police investigate a reported rape.

Dorset Police said a woman, aged in her 40s, reported being attacked in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth on Wednesday at about 21:00 BST.

The force said a detailed investigation was being led by detectives, and the victim was being supported by specially trained officers.

Officers remain at Woodland Walk - a path that runs between the centre of Boscombe and the seafront - carrying out inquiries. No arrests have been made.
