A 66-year-old man has been charged with a string of non-recent child sex offences alleged to have taken place at a children's home in Leeds.

Zephaniah McIntosh is accused of one count of indecent assault and four counts of rape of a female under the age of 16.

West Yorkshire Police said the offences were reported to have taken place between 2001 and 2002 and related to a girl who was aged 15 at the time.

McIntosh, of the Harehills area of Leeds, is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 2 October.
