A young Liverpool fan living with a rare genetic condition has been flown out to Turkey to meet his hero, Mohamed Salah.

Salah's new club, Trabzonspor, and Turkish Airlines flew eight-year-old Isaac Kearney and his family there to surprise the former Liverpool forward, according to a post on Isaac's Instagram account.

Footage published by the Turkish club shows Isaac - who has chromosone disorder Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome - approaching Salah during training before they embrace.

Isaac was also filmed meeting other Trabzonspor players, including Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is on loan at the Turkish club. A post on Isaac's Instagram account said Onana gave him a pair of gloves.

He later accompanied Salah on to the pitch at Papara Park in the north-eastern Turkish city of Trabzon.

The stadium holds about 41,000 supporters.

A post on Isaac's Instagram account described Salah as his "friend the Egyptian King".

Another said: "What a club Trabzonspor are for helping to create this amazing moment. A day we will never forget."

The pair first me in 2024, when Salah and then-captain Virgil van Dijk surprised him at school.

He was also invited to be a mascot for Liverpool's Premier League match against Manchester City at Anfield.

Salah, 34, joined Trabzonspor on a two-year contract after nine seasons at Liverpool, during which he scored 191 Premier League goals.

He made his Trabzonspor debut as a second-half substitute in a 1-1 draw at Kasimpasa on 15 August.
