Man dies in A17 crash involving lorry and car

A man has died following a head-on crash involving a lorry and a car on the A17 in Lincolnshire.

The collision, involving a blue and white DAF HGV and a white VW Golf, happened between Beckingham and Brant Broughton shortly after 04:15 BST on Monday.

The driver of the Golf, a man in his 20s from the Newark area, died at the scene, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said.

The force appealed for anyone who saw either vehicle on the A17 before the crash, or who had dashcam footage of the incident, to contact them.
