Motorist dies after car crashes into swing bridge

A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a swing bridge on the A17.

Lincolnshire Police said a red Ford Fiesta hit the Cross Keys Bridge at Sutton Bridge, near the border with Norfolk, last Sunday.

The driver suffered serious injuries and has since died, the force added.

Anyone who witnessed the incident at about 17:40 BST or has dashcam footage is asked to get in touch with police.
