A baby loss charity has unveiled a mural at its headquarters with 157 names with each representing "a baby, a story and a family we are honoured to know".

Luna's Fund was founded in 2018 by two parents after the loss of their first-born daughter Luna.

Aimee Green, founder and chief executive officer of the charity based in Longbridge Road, Plymouth, Devon, said: "Being able to walk into the office everyday and see the babies who inspire us and all of the families that we've known to support over the past seven years is the most motivational part of our jobs."

"We want to thank you for letting us walk with you on your journeys and for honouring all of these special babies."

'Honour each baby'

Luna's Fund provides practical and emotional support to bereaved families in Devon and Cornwall.

The charity said the mural was unveiled during its Wave of Light event, hosted through a livestream on Thursday 15 October.

It said the memorial wall would "honour each baby" and their names would "nestle proudly among the moon and stars".

The charity said the mural created "opportunities for families to celebrate and remember their babies, recognising that saying a baby's name can be an important part of grief and remembrance".

It said the mural was funded by one of the families who it supported and they helped by "lovingly placing every name on the wall".
