  1. goal

GOAL: Luton 1-0 Notts Countypublished at 13:13 BST 22 August

    Nahki Wells pen (42 mins)

Up steps Nahki Wells and he makes no mistake from the spot, slotting calmly into the bottom left corner.

James Belshaw goes the right way in the Notts County goal but can't get a hand on it.

    Advantage Luton.

  2. Postpublished at 13:12 BST 22 August

    Bristol Rovers 0-1 Newport

Shaquille Gwengwe does well to cut the ball behind the Rovers defender but his curling effort doesn't have enough swing to guide itself into the net.

Newport have only had one effort on target this game and it went into the net.

Bristol Rovers have had three but nothing to show for it.

  3. PENALTY TO LUTONpublished at 13:12 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

A corner comes in from the left from Luton's Liam Walsh and there is a coming together at the near post.

Referee Benjamin Speedie points to the spot and Luton have a penalty.

James Gibbons appears to be the offender, for either a foul or handball. It's not entirely clear but the home side won't care...

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:10 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Plenty of yellows getting brandished at the Kenny.

Scott Robertson is the latest into the book for Notts County after stopping a quick Luton counter by tripping over Kasey Palmer.

    Bit harsh? Maybe.

    Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

    Ooph. That was close!

Rovers captain Owen Bailey is right in front of the net but his effort at goal is thwarted by Barnsley stopper Rogan Ravenhill and he can't pick up the rebound.

Then Alfie May is bursting forward but sends his effort wide.

Barnsley pressure up one end has turned on it's head, very quickly too.

  6. 'Rovers at times have been really slow'published at 13:08 BST 22 August

    Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

    Lee Turnbull
Former Doncaster player on BBC Radio Sheffield

I think it's quite noticeable that Rovers are probably defending a little bit deeper than Barnsley.

I think coming away from home and losing your first home game against Bromley, then Barnsley would probably want to keep it tight, make sure that they're compact as a unit, make sure that we're all switched on in and out of possession.

But Rovers at times have been really slow.

  7. Postpublished at 13:08 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Oof, Luka Smyth is playing with fire here.

Just moments after being booked, the Notts County forward comes into Luton defender George Johnston with a high foot.

In his defence, it's only about waist high, which is probably what spares him from further punishment.

  8. Postpublished at 13:06 BST 22 August

    Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

The home fans are starting get frustrated with what they are seeing.

Doncaster Rovers had a bright start but lately it's been all Barnsley.

Amani Richards threads a superb pass into Tyrese Noslin. The right-back has Makenzie Kirk to his left but goes for goal himself and ripples the wrong side of the netting, prompting complaints from his Rovers team-mate.

  9. Postpublished at 13:06 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Notts County are giving a good account of themselves here, following on from their 1-1 draw with Leicester last weekend.

Another opposition with recent Premier League pedigree in the shape of Luton but it's not fazing them.

The visitors are knocking it about well.

  10. 'It's been a feisty affair'published at 13:05 BST 22 August

What a game it has been at the Memorial Stadium so far.

Rovers are gradually have gradually grown into the game since going behind after 15 seconds but Newport's defence has stood strong.

It has been a feisty affair and the referee is letting a lot of challenges go.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:03 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Referee Ben Speedie has his yellow card out of his pocket for the second time in the space of a couple of minutes.

Luton defender George Johnston slides through the back of County's Nick Tsaroulla and earns himself a caution.

  12. Postpublished at 13:03 BST 22 August

    Salford 0-1 Chesterfield

Joe Powell plays in Kelly N'Mai who goes down under pressure from a Chesterfield defender inside the area but there's nothing in it as he takes a hopeful glance at the referee.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:02 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Notts County striker Luka Smyth with a striker's tackle on halfway.

He is very late on Gideon Kodua and absolutely smashes his man.

Not sure he can have too many complaints about being booked for that.

  14. Postpublished at 13:01 BST 22 August

    Bristol Rovers 0-1 Newport

    Big chance for Bobby Kamwa.

Gas team-mate Keenan Gough spots him in a good position but Kamwa is just ahead of the pass and needs to backtrack to get into shooting position. It does enough to put him off and he sends it wide.

Bristol Rovers really turning up the heat at the moment. There's another goal in this - can it be theirs?

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:01 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Things almost got a whole lot better for Notts County...

It's laid off to Scott Robertson on the edge of the Luton area and he curls a teasing effort on target and Josh Keeley has to leap to tip it over the bar in the Hatters goal.

  16. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Notts County would have probably taken this nearly half an hour into the game.

Mind you, nine of those minutes were spent with Jordan Clark getting treatment. So we're effectively 20 minutes in.

  17. Postpublished at 12:56 BST 22 August

    Salford 0-1 Chesterfield

Chesterfield carve out another chance as George McEachran tries a low effort from distance.

Not really enough to worry Will Norris but it did have him diving across to make sure as it rolls just wide.

    Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

Alfie May is flying up near the final third to collect a long ball and is trying his hardest to set up a duel with the goalkeeper, but Barnsley's Sam Gale sticks to him like glue and eventually manages to dispossess the Doncaster forward.

  19. Postpublished at 12:55 BST 22 August

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Notts County get a rare moment to put Luton under some threat with a free-kick about 30 yards from goal... but it's sent over the head of everyone by Callum Roberts and out for a goal-kick.

  20. CLOSE!published at 12:54 BST 22 August

    Walsall 0-0 Grimsby

Grimsby are turning the screw and they should be in front.

It drops to Charles Vernam no more than 12 yards out and he smashes it on the half-volley but blazes just over the bar.
