  1. 'Oxford throwing caution to the wind'published at 13:55 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

    Nathan Cooper
    BBC Radio Oxford commentator

Oxford are throwing caution to the wind at the moment.

They have just come close but the visitors have just hit the post.

Oxford on the whole are getting better though.

  2. goal

GOAL: Notts County 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 13:54 BST 15 August

    Jayden Joseph (62 mins)

Got to take your chances when you're on top.

Some hit, this, from the 20-year-old.

City spread the ball from left to right and Sammy Braybrooke lays the ball into the path of Jayden Joseph who lashes a first time shot inside the right post from the edge of the box.

What a way to score your first goal for the club.

  3. Postpublished at 13:53 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

Oxford have certainly looked a lot brighter in possession in this second half, without really causing too many alarms for the MK Dons defence.

They have just had a couple of shots blocked and captain Cameron Brannigan is now incensed over the way Charlie Goode put his body into Tyler Goodrham as a cross is aimed his way.

Brannigan's complaints are too vociferous - he is booked for suggesting there was an elbow used, but replays show there wasn't.

  4. 'The best goalless game I've seen in a long time'published at 13:52 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Adam Hassell
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

This is the best goalless game I've seen in a long time.

How there has not been a goal, I will never know.

  5. CLOSE!published at 13:52 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

More pressure from Notts and a headed clearance drops to Dean Campbell 16 yards out but his stooping volley on his left is a yard past the upright.

County keep coming and Luka Smyth sees a low shot blocked by keeper Alex McCarthy.

    Leicester are reeling.

  6. 'The momentum is with Notts County'published at 13:50 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Mark Stallard
Ex-Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

The Leicester back line have been Notts County's most creative players this afternoon because of how good our press has been. Let them have the ball and we will keep getting chances.

Leicester are playing very deep in their own half. the momentum is with Notts and the crowd are starting to believe.

  7. Postpublished at 13:50 BST 15 August

    Reading 3-3 Luton

Genuine question: if there's been two hat tricks, who gets to keep the match ball?

  8. Postpublished at 13:50 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

County win a corner which is clawed away by Alex McCarthy under pressure in his goalmouth.

The pressure continues but Cal Roberts' cross is cleared.

Notts having a great spell again.

Chaos in the final third for City.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:48 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

A ranging cross from the right is cleared only as far as Jayden Joseph 20-yards out but the City man's powerful low strike is blocked by Lucas Ness.

County fly down the other end and Harry Souttar has his pocket picked in the area by Luka Smyth and the ball breaks to Cal Roberts who sees a close-range effort smothered by Alex McCarthy.

Smyth wanted a penalty for a shirt pull from Souttar too.

Breathless stuff, and then Will Alves pings a long-range shot just past the angle of post and bar for City.

End-to-end doesn't do it justice. How is this 0-0?

  10. goal

GOAL: Oldham 1-0 Port Valepublished at 13:47 BST 15 August

    Calum Kavanagh (58 mins)

Breakthrough at Boundary Park, and it's Calum Kavanagh!

Oldham take a quick free-kick and Kavanagh is there to fire the ball into the bottom left corner.

  11. Postpublished at 13:46 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

As Nathan Cooper described (13:42), MK Dons could have had a third.

Let's flesh out the details. Sam Nombe feeds Gethin Jones, who delivers a cross for Aaron Collins to head just wide.

  12. goal

GOAL: Reading 3-3 Lutonpublished at 13:44 BST 15 August

    Kasey Palmer (52 mins)

    Kasey PalmerImage source, Shutterstock

    KASEY PALMER, AGAIN.

Whatever Jack Wilshere told his players at half-time is working. They've wiped out Reading's two goal lead in what feels like a flash.

Jack Marriott's first half hat-trick feels like an age ago.

    Could we see a second?

  13. CLOSE!published at 13:43 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    What a chance.

Alex McCarthy passes tamely towards Bobby De Cordova-Reid 30 yards from his own goal but Lucas Ness nips in to nick the ball and stride forward but can only send his attempted chip (I think) high and wide of target with only the keeper to beat.

A real defender's finish and a huge let-off for City.

  14. 'Could and should have been three'published at 13:42 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

    Nathan Cooper
    BBC Radio Oxford commentator

That could and maybe should have been three for MK Dons.

That was a great chance for the visitors and Oxford will be very thankful to stay one behind.

Something is needed to raise the atmosphere in here.

  15. goal

GOAL: Reading 3-2 Lutonpublished at 13:42 BST 15 August

    Kasey Palmer (50 mins)

    Grab. Your. Popcorn.

Just as Reading had nearly put the points out Luton's reach, new signing Kasey Palmer drags his side back into the match.

  16. Postpublished at 13:41 BST 15 August

    Reading 3-1 Luton

It's nearly a fourth for Reading as Jack Marriott looks to share the spoils.

He plays the ball into Daniel Kyerewaa, but he can't find the back of the net.

  17. CLOSE!published at 13:41 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Bright start to the second half from County and Nick Tsaroulla wins an early corner which brings the big guns up from the back.

James Gibbons nods back from beyond the far post but City scramble clear and Sammy Braybrooke sends them away.

Wes Burns plays Bobby De-Cordova-Reid into the box and he dinks over keeper James Belshaw but Tsaroulla has raced all the way back to hack the bouncing ball clear off his own line.

    Breathless stuff.

  18. Postpublished at 13:38 BST 15 August

    Newport 2-0 Rochdale

Some tidy passing play by Rochdale releases Devante Rodney on the left side. He aims for the bottom corner of Jordan Wright's goal, but his chance is blocked and sent out for a corner.

  19. 'Visitors in control in the early stages'published at 13:38 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

It is the visitors in control of the football in the early stages of the second half. Oxford have just got to make sure the half-time break counts and that the players do what they should be doing.

  20. Postpublished at 13:37 BST 15 August

    Oldham 0-0 Port Vale

The first chance of the second half goes begging as Kyle Dempsey fires a free kick well wide of everyone, and out for a goal kick.
