Nevertheless, we go again, the second halves are starting to get under way...

Leicester City will be back in the Premier League soon, just be patient.

    Richard, Leeds

Re: Ki at 12:50. Leicester's decline is entirely of their own making. Arrogance, complacency, financial incompetence. All avoidable with the mindset. Need to take the league seriously, and keep clearing out underperformers.

    James, Leicester

I feel sorry for Leicester fans, having to stomach Martin's possession based bore ball.

    HT: Newport 2-0 Rochdale

    Ioan Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales reporter

It's the perfect start for Hayden Mullins and his Newport side.

They have been comfortably the better side and are two goals to the good thanks to summer signings Kyle Cameron and Shaquille Gwengwe.

There will be a lots to ponder at half-time for Ian Watson's Rochdale as they have been well below par so far this afternoon.

  4. 'Notts County more than in this game'published at 13:29 BST 15 August

    HT: Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Mark Stallard
Ex-Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

A really well worked corner right at the end of the half was a great chance for Notts. But it was a really exciting first half and Notts are more than in this game.

  5. 'United have done nothing since their goal'published at 13:28 BST 15 August

    HT: Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

For 20, 25 minutes, there was a positivity in the ground as it was pretty even.

United have done nothing really since the goal. Both MK Dons goals could have been avoided and the fans are not happy.

  6. A wake-up call for Leicesterpublished at 13:26 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester City

    Andrew Aloia
BBC Sport, East Midlands at Meadow Lane

Leicester City are getting a one heck of a wake-up call on their arrival in League One.

Sure, the Foxes are much changed and getting used to new boss Russell Martin, but Notts County are a newly promoted side arguably faced with a bigger job of getting used to the division.

What the Magpies have done in the first half is show Leicester just how hard they are going to have to work this season if they are going to get out of League One at the first time of asking.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:22 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

No goals, but not for the lack of trying in a really spicy encounter, played largely at 100mph.

County began brilliantly and Cal Roberts flashed a shot narrowly over before Ollie Cooper charged down a clearance from Alex McCarthy which cannoned back off the underside of the bar.

Leicester however grew into the game and Bobby Cordova-Reid spurned a couple of half-chances while Sammy Braybrooke curled inches wide.

The Magpies finished the half on top and Cal Roberts scuffed a shot in the box before the ball broke to Jack Evans to lash over from the left of the box from relatively close range.

Can't wait for the second half, to be honest...

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 BST 15 August

    Reading 3-1 Luton

It’s been a breathtaking first half at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, and Reading are comfortably ahead thanks to a hat-trick from their star man Jack Marriott.

Luton struck first after 6 minutes when Jake Richards scored from the right side, but Marriott hit back less than 120 seconds later.

At the half hour mark Marriott managed to capitalise on poor defending, seizing the ball and sliding it under Josh Keeley in the Luton goal.

But the icing on the cake came in the 38th minute. A punt forward from the back found Kyreece Lisbie on the right side. He played it into the box and Marriott slotted it home with ease.

    Match ball thoroughly deserved.

I wonder what Jack Wilshere will tell his side during the break.

  9. HALF TIMEpublished at 13:18 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

What a fantastic first half for MK Dons, shaking off the early setback of going behind to Mark Harris' opener.

Two headers, from Charlie Goode and Aaron Collins, have put them in front and they thoroughly merit it.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 BST 15 August

    Newport 2-0 Rochdale

The new signings have worked a treat so far for Hayden Mullin's side!

Defender Kyle Cameron introduced him to the Rodney Parade crowd after 18 minutes when he latched onto a header by fellow new signing Yahya Bamba.

And just before the half-time break Shaquille Gwengwe slotted home a tidy cross by Harrison Biggins.

Rochdale will need a big second half.

  11. Postpublished at 13:17 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Leicester win their first corner of the game deep into added time.

Luke Thomas is in no rush to take it, however... and eventually launches it 10 yards beyond the far post.

Jacob Bedeau and Harry Souttar had an almighty wrestling match in the mixer though and the County man might be a touch fortunate Ed Duckworth didn't see it.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:16 BST 15 August

    Oldham 0-0 Port Vale

It's been a scrappy first half at Boundary Park, with the referee brandishing three yellow cards already.

For the home side, Favour Fawunmi has had a few efforts saved, and Mike Fondop might given Oldham the lead had it not been for the fact he was offside.

  13. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:16 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

We'll have FIVE minutes added to this spicy first half, mainly thanks to the injury to Jayden Joseph early on.

  14. Postpublished at 13:16 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

MK Dons force Oxford goalkeeper Jamie Cumming into another save, this time from Cohen Bramall's left-footed free-kick.

The U's, having taken the lead, are desperately in need of the half-time whistle.

  15. Postpublished at 13:15 BST 15 August

    Newport 2-0 Rochdale

    Ioan Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales reporter

It's a party atmosphere at Rodney Parade at the minute.

It's another one of County's new boys Shaquille Gwengwe who gets the goal and puts the home side firmly in control.

It has not been a happy return to the Football League for the Dale so far.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:15 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Will Alves gets some revenge on Ollie Cooper and clatters him after Cooper nicks possession off him in nearly the exact same spot.

It's 2-1 in cards to County, but we await the first goal...

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:14 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Bit of a flare up on the touchline as Ollie Cooper flies into a challenge on Bobby De Cordova-Reid which goes unpunished.

James Gibbons picks up a caution for his part in the melee which sees him hauled away by Harry Souttar, who must be a foot taller than the former Cambridge man.

  18. 'Notts need to put the pressure on'published at 13:14 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Mark Stallard
Ex-Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Leicester have been on top for the last 15 minutes but they seem to be at their weakest when they have the ball at the back.

Notts have got to keep pressing and putting pressure on that back line. They need to liven up a little bit.

  19. Postpublished at 13:12 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

The visiting fans are in full voice, singing in honour of their injured captain Alex Gilbey. Earlier, after taking the lead, they were jokingly boasting that they were "top of the league".

Thanks to Jack Marriott (see 13:09), they aren't any more.

  20. Postpublished at 13:10 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

City cough up possession in midfield and Ollie Cooper sprays a ball down the right channel for the marauding Nick Tsaroulla who blazes into the box and opts to fire in an angled strike which rises over the angle of post and bar.

Cal Roberts in the middle was desperate for a square ball there.
