  1. goal

GOAL: Newport 2-0 Rochdalepublished at 13:10 BST 15 August

    Shaquille Gwengwe (38 mins)

Newport double their lead through one of their many new signings, Shaquille Gwengwe.

A cross from Harrison Biggins finds Gwengwe at the back post, and he slots it past Nils Ramming.

A reminder: this man scored 46 last season. Could his record translate to League Two?

  2. goal

GOAL: Reading 3-1 Lutonpublished at 13:09 BST 15 August

    Jack Marriott (38 mins)

    WHO ELSE?

Benn Ward punts it forward towards Kyreece Lisbie on the right side. He plays a tidy ball square, and it's an easy hat-trick for Jack Marriott.

Give that man a high-five. Outstanding.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13:08 BST 15 August

    Oldham 0-0 Port Vale

    And its...offside.

Oldham thought they had taken the lead through a looping Mike Fondop header, but the flag is up.

    Relief for Vale.

  4. 'There is a long way to go'published at 13:08 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-2 MK Dons

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

Let's not panic, there is a long way to go in this game.

Oxford took the lead, so they know they can do it. They just have to focus on what they are good at, passing the ball.

When you go ahead the idea is that you keep the foot on the gas, but it was the opposite.

  5. 'A good spell for the visitors'published at 13:05 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Mark Stallard
Ex-Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Notts County are looking for a second wind. In the first game it is easy to run yourself out of energy early on and that is what they have done so far.

This is a good spell from the visitors where they have had a lot of the ball. They have just had the best chance of the game with Braybrooke, who turned the ball onto his right and thankfully just couldn't direct his effort into the far corner.

  6. CLOSE!published at 13:05 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Lovely feet from Leicester's Sammy Braybrooke as he brings the ball down and then spins at the far post to work space for a shot and curls his effort across goal inches past the base of James Belshaw's left upright.

  7. goal

GOAL: Oxford 1-2 MK Donspublished at 13:05 BST 15 August

    Aaron Collins (34 mins)

MK Dons have turned this game around! And you have to say they deserve it.

Oxford can't clear their lines properly and Ryan Wintle collects, gets away down the right-hand side of the box, hangs the ball up to the back post where Aaron Collins rises high to nod in.

Just five minutes between MK Dons' equaliser and the goal that gave them the lead.

  8. Postpublished at 13:04 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-1 MK Dons

MK Dons, last season's top scorers in League Two, are threatening again, as Dan Barlaser's low, curling effort is awkwardly pushed behind by Jamie Cumming in the Oxford goal.

  9. goal

GOAL: Reading 2-1 Lutonpublished at 13:02 BST 15 August

    Jack Marriott (35 mins)

    It's Jack Marriott, AGAIN!

He charges towards the Luton defence, and smashes it home from the edge of the penalty area. Josh Keeley was not getting anywhere near it.

The Select Car Leasing Stadium goes wild.

  10. CLOSE!published at 13:01 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Will Alves has shown some lovely touches so far and plays Luke Thomas through on the left.

The full-back slices his first-time cross horribly but it almost catches out James Belshaw as it drifts inches over his crossbar with the keeper backpedalling frantically.

As close as Leicester have come, to be honest.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:01 BST 15 August

    Newport 1-0 Rochdale

Newport are denied a second as Christian Doidge directs a header towards goal, but Nils Ramming gets across brilliantly to palm it wide.

  12. 'A disappointing one to concede'published at 13:01 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-1 MK Dons

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

The ball has come in and Oxford blocked, then they blocked again but then the ball has come in once more and the ball looped over Cumming and it is a disappointing one to concede.

  13. goal

GOAL: Oxford 1-1 MK Donspublished at 13:00 BST 15 August

    Charlie Goode (28 mins)

MK Dons level! And it's a messy one for Oxford to concede.

The visitors have been putting the pressure on with a couple of corners, both cleared, then came two blocked shots, but as the ball is recycled, a deep cross from Dan Barlaser is kept in play by the head of Charlie Goode, guiding it towards goal - and it loops over the goalkeeper Jamie Cumming and the desperate attempt of Sam Long can't keep it out.

  14. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 15 August

    Oldham 0-0 Port Vale

It's been a bit scrappy in the first half an hour at Boundary Park.

Favour Fawunmi and Gus Scott-Morriss have just been called into action after Liam Gordon attacked down the left side for Port Vale, but that ended up going behind for a goal kick.

Other than that...still waiting for the opener.

  15. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

The Foxes are just building a head of steam as County drop deeper and deeper.

Sammy Braybrooke had a glimpse of goal in the box but took too many touches and was crowded out before being able to test James Belshaw.

City not looking clinical in the final third, yet...

  16. Postpublished at 12:58 BST 15 August

    Newport 1-0 Rochdale

    Ioan Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales reporter

What a way to mark your league debut.

The Rochdale defence were caught napping, and Kyle Cameron poked home to give County the lead. Their appeals for offside were waved away and the home side are ahead.

The Hayden Mullins era is underway

  17. 'Nice football from Leicester'published at 12:56 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

    Mark Stallard
Ex-Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Nice football being played by Leicester there. Will Alves with some lovely stuff but overworked and into the hands of Belshaw.

We know that Leicester are happy to have the ball but that is almost when we are at our best.

You can tell that the feel of the game is slightly turning.

  18. Postpublished at 12:54 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

Good work from Will Alves to win the ball back on the edge of the County box and then pick out Bobby De Cordova-Reid in the middle but the frontman leans back as he fires in a left-footed volley which flies off target from about 12 yards out.

    End-to-end stuff. Glorious.

  19. 'Harris back with a bang'published at 12:53 BST 15 August

    Oxford 1-0 MK Dons

    Nathan Cooper
    BBC Radio Oxford commentator

There was some great build up play from Dembele, the ball found it's way to Harris, everyone else had stopped and was appealing for a penalty, but the Welshman just carried on and finished well.

Harris really needed that and he is back in League One with a bang.

  20. Postpublished at 12:53 BST 15 August

    Notts County 0-0 Leicester

A teasing cross from the County right is just missed by Ollie Cooper's flick at the near post and Luka Smyth can't get on the end of it at the back post either.

These two sides were two divisions apart last season but you'd never know which was which.
