Salford City boss Peter Cklamovski also makes four alterations from the side that beat Swindon.

After suffering a slow start to the season, Salford City are beginning to click into gear.

Ten points out of a possible last 12 has propelled the Ammies up to 14th in the table as they face Oldham Athletic in the evening kick-off in League Two.

Another three points will move them up to seventh and into the promotion picture which their summer expenditure demands.

Oldham's disappointing defeat last Saturday to local rivals Rochdale, in which striker Mike Fondop inexplicably missed an open goal, left a sour taste in the mouth for Micky Mellon's men.

The Latics have a chance to make things right in another Greater Manchester derby, having lost each of their last four matches against sides from the same region.

Never in their history have they lost five in succession before.

It proved to be a good weekend in League Two for league leaders Barnet, who were not in action but remain at the top of the table after Walsall failed to beat Tranmere.

Ground was made up, however, by South West pair Cheltenham - who beat Chesterfield 2-1 - and Bristol Rovers, who edged out Exeter at the Memorial Stadium.

York's comprehensive win over Gillingham has seen them climb up to fourth - the Gills, and Grimsby, have been leapfrogged.

Rochdale have lifted themselves up to 16th with a narrow win against Fleetwood, while Newport and Accrington have also made moves away from the relegation zone.

Salford have the chance to move into the League Two play-off places this evening if they beat Oldham.

Top half pair Wycombe and Reading played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Adams Park with that man Danny Ings on the scoresheet for the Chairboys.

The Dons will feel sick they could not get that over the line after an impressive defensive effort right up to the 92nd minute.
