    Oldham 1-2 Salford

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on Sky Sports

They're finishing this half strong, Oldham, they're really putting on the pressure.

Dan Scarr has been brilliant in the Salford back-line. He has won really important, key headers.

Chances have come for Oldham, but they just haven't been clinical or composed enough.

  2. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Now, at the other end, Oldham go close.

Noah Chilvers has a strike blocked before Mike Fondop has a go. Blocked again.

The resulting corner is well headed out by Dan Scarr.

  3. CLOSE!published at 41 mins

Then, goalscorer Kelly N'Mai turns inside the box but his shot is straight at Mat Hudson.

  4. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Salford need to be careful that they don't let that moment effect their concentration.

Brendan Wiredu has been penalised for handball. Free-kick Oldham in a dangerous area which is eventually slightly over-hit by Noah Chilvers.

Goal kick and an opportunity to Salford to take their time with half-time on the horizon.

  5. 'We have got everything!'published at 18:09 BST 26 September

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on Sky Sports

The assistant was in a really good position and gave the referee the information.

I don't think it's in the face. Odoh didn't like the initial collision. He grabs Scott-Morriss by the scruff of the neck. I think a yellow card is the right decision.

We have got everything in this game!

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Abraham Odoh is shown a yellow card for an incident with Oldham's Gus Scott-Morriss.

Scott-Morriss initially jumps into Odoh and raises his hands to the Oldham right-back who goes down rather theatrically it must be said.

A yellow and not a red for the Salford man.

  7. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

It's boiling over now. Two Oldham players have gone down following separate incidents.

  8. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Calum Kavanagh is furious that he doesn't receive a free-kick and what potentially would have been a booking for a Salford defender after going down on the halfway line.

On reflection, he looks like he had more than just a fair point...

  9. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Abraham Odoh gets on his bike down the right but his cross is too far ahead of Macaulay Langstaff who was breaking a neck to get into the box.

Moments after, Ben Woodburn digs out a cross which is perfect for Luke Molyneux to volley on the swivel but it goes a few feet wide.

  10. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

Ben Woodburn picks up a pocket of space and attempts to thread a ball through but it is slightly over hit and Oldham can take a momentary breather after pulling themselves back into the game.

  11. 'A lovely bit of play'published at 17:55 BST 26 September

    Oldham 1-2 Salford

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on Sky Sports

It has come from Oldham scoring, having it ruled out and Salford go straight down the other end. The goalkeeper knows he has to come off his line but he doesn't want to handle it, but what a brilliant finish from N'Mai that is.

You can see he (Mat Hudson) is in no man's land. N'Mai can see where the keeper is and it is a lovely bit of play. Langstaff causes problems with his run, the keeper has to be aggressive and get something on it. It is an error on his behalf.

  12. goal

GOAL: Oldham 1-2 Salfordpublished at 17:53 BST 26 September

    Calum Kavanagh (21 mins)

Now THIS is a Manchester derby.

    It's a great goal - Salford's two-goal lead lasted a matter of moments.

Calum Kavanagh holds his run and turns the ball in deliciously with his left foot all in one move.

    Game back on again.

  13. goal

GOAL: Oldham 0-2 Salfordpublished at 17:51 BST 26 September

    Kelly N'Mai (19 mins)

    What a delicate finish!

Mat Hudson is guilty here. It's on him this one.

The Oldham keeper comes out and misjudges the flight of the ball.

He can only clear to Kelly N'Mai who chips the goalkeeper from fully 30 yards out into an empty net. An exquisite goal.

  14. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 18 mins

    Oldham 0-1 Salford

It's been an entertaining start to the match and now it's Oldham who threaten.

A strike is well saved and Calum Kavanagh hits the post with the rebound before Mike Fondop turns the ball home from close range but his effort is disallowed for offside.

Looked the right call. Kavanagh was the guilty man stood in an offside position.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Oldham 0-1 Salford

Good pressure in midfield from Salford to win the ball back, this time from the persistence of the diminutive Kelly N'Mai.

Moments later, Luke Molyneux slips in Ben Woodburn and his fierce strike from a tight angle is well batted out by Oldham keeper Mat Hudson.

This has been an impressive start from the visitors.

  16. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Oldham 0-1 Salford

Well if Micky Mellon wanted a reaction from his side's defeat by Rochdale last week, he hasn't seen it yet.

They have lost their last four Greater Manchester derbies. As we said before the match, they have not lost five in a row in their history.

  17. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Oldham 0-1 Salford

That goal has got Salford tails up.

Abraham Odoh skins his man on the left wing and gets to the bye-line but Oldham clear their decks.

  18. goal

GOAL: Oldham 0-1 Salfordpublished at 17:35 BST 26 September

    Luke Molyneux (5 mins)

What a start for the Ammies!

Luke Molyneux receives the ball on the right wing and puts a delicate ball into the middle.

No one in blue reacts to it, and neither does Mat Hudson in the Oldham goal. The ball goes all the way in without a touch - extraordinary!

Micky Mellon is left shaking his head. A quickfire start to this Greater Manchester derby.

  19. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Oldham 0-0 Salford

First long throw is hurled in by Oldham's Gus Scott-Morris.

The ball comes back to the right wing-back who puts a measured cross into the middle which is superbly dealt with at the back stick by Salford's Brendan Wiredu.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 17:31 BST 26 September

    Oldham 0-0 Salford

Salford will be kicking towards their visiting supporters in the first half.
