Luton's Liam Walsh and County's Hindolo Mustapha come together for a bit of pushing and shoving and earn themselves a fine.

    Both into the book.

    Bristol Rovers 5-3 Newport

Bristol Rovers claim victory in eight-goal thriller with Newport.

It seemed like the comeback could be on for the Welsh side after Cole Jarvis nodded in an added time goal to leave them just one goal adrift but alas, no dice.

Their risk to put the goalkeeper up for a set-piece only lead to an open goal for Fabrizio Cavegn to put the game to bed.

Nine shots of 26 on target for the Gas. Marvellous game.

Notts County fans won't need reminding about what Luton did last weekend after coming from behind in stoppage time...

  8. 'Barnsley have a lot of building to do'published at 14:30 BST 22 August

    FT: Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

    Adie Moses
Ex-Barnsley defender on BBC Radio Sheffield

It's not easy coming to Doncaster in South Yorkshire but at least we're off the mark a little bit with a point.

It's nice that we kept a clean sheet because Doncaster could have won that game easily.

But there's a hell of a lot of building, even though it's early stages in the season. I just think there's a lack of quality there. It's the youth and inexperience that we've got in that Barnsley side.

  9. goal

GOAL: Bristol Rovers 5-3 Newportpublished at 14:29 BST 22 August

    Fabrizio Cavegn (90 + 9 mins)

    Victory secured.

Newport took the late gamble to send goalkeeper Jordan Wright up top for a set-piece, but the risk went against them as Fabrizio Cavegn stormed up field unopposed and slotted in a fifth for Bristol Rovers.

    What. A. Game.

  10. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 22 August

    Luton 2-2 Notts County

Almost two hours since this game kicked off and still we go on.

A delay in play now as Conor Grant goes down with an issue for Notts County.

We might have a decent chunk of added time in this second half as well.

Who saw Salford suffer back-to-back defeats in their first two games of the season?

Lee Bonis' goal after the first two minutes sees Chesterfield pick up their first three points of the season.

Paul Cook's side are up and running and while it is early days, new Ammies boss Peter Cklamovski will have plenty questions.

  12. goal

GOAL: Bristol Rovers 4-3 Newportpublished at 14:26 BST 22 August

    Cole Jarvis (90 + 1 mins)

    Drama?!

Cole Jarvis' header finds the net. Newport couldn't, could they?

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:25 BST 22 August

    Luton 2-2 Notts County

Huge roars around the Kenny as the home support appeal for a penalty. The Luton players are convinced. So is Hatters boss Jack Wilshere.

Ishe Samuels-Smith jumps in the air to try and head clear from a cross and it strikes his arm.

He had his back to it but the arm was raised. Seen them given but County would've felt it was harsh if it had been.

    One of those...

  14. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 14:24 BST 22 August

    Salford 0-1 Chesterfield

A scuffle breaks out between both sets of players and Rafiq Lamptey and Brendan Wiredu both receives cautions for their trouble.

    Thankfully we're back under way.

    Not long to go now.

  15. 'South Yorkshire sides will have to wait for first wins'published at 14:24 BST 22 August

    FT: Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

    Lee Turnbull
Former Doncaster player on BBC Radio Sheffield

The referee blows the whistle - a point a piece it is. A few boos from fans of the home side.

It's been disappointing that we haven't seen a goal today, especially for Doncaster who are playing at home.

Fair play to Barnsley, they've dug in there but it looks like these teams will have to wait to get their first wins of the season.

  16. Postpublished at 14:23 BST 22 August

    Luton 2-2 Notts County

We've still got six minutes plus added time to play at Kenilworth Road.

A reminder that we had 11 minutes of stoppage time in the first half after a nasty looking injury for Luton midfielder Jordan Clark.

  17. Postpublished at 14:23 BST 22 August

    Bristol Rovers 4-2 Newport

There is eight minutes added to this.

Could there be more to come? It's certainly a game that's delivered.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:22 BST 22 August

    Doncaster 0-0 Barnsley

A game lacking quality also ends without a goal.

Barnsley had more of the possession and more of the shots, but Doncaster found the target more often.

Though little of that matters. Neither of them found what they were looking for and both sets of fans may leave the stadium feeling a little nervous about how this season is going to unfold.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:21 BST 22 August

    Walsall 0-0 Grimsby

    A goalless draw it is.

Both sides had plenty of efforts with 15 for Walsall and 13 for Grimsby, but neither found the target all too often.

Just two on target for the Saddlers and one for the Mariners. That pretty much tells the story of the game to be honest.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:21 BST 22 August

    Salford 0-1 Chesterfield

Salford hit the post again as Ryan Stirk's defensive header comes back off the woodwork.
