    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 37-0

Nick Gubbins is forward to Ian Holland, who gets some inswing.

    Blocked down the ground.

A steady start for Hampshire, who are now seven ahead on first innings with little alarm since lunch.

  2. Division Two updatepublished at 13:40 BST 16 September

A double blow for Gloucestershire at Bristol with Ollie Price bowled by Ryan Higgins for 15 and Miles Hammond caught at second slip later in the over. They are 87-3 in reply to Middlesex's 326 all out.

Jake Libby has reached 50 off 61 balls at the Riverside with a couple of runs off Matthew Potts. Following Durham's 465 all out this morning, Worcestershire are 88-1 after 20 overs.

  3. Postpublished at 13:39 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 4-1 v Somerset 201

A wicket maiden for Craig Overton.

Adam Lyth is forward to Lewis Gregory, playing the Somerset captain into the on side.

Some good bounce as Gregory gets one through to keeper James Rew at chest height.

    Maiden over.

  4. 50 runs

50 up for Lancashirepublished at 13:38 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 54-2

Michael Jones cuts away from Keith Dudgeon with precision to the off-side boundary.

Lancashire pass 50 and have wiped out Kent's lead. They are now ahead by one run.

  5. Postpublished at 13:36 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 35-0

Three slips in for Ian Holland, who continues to bowl a probing line with a bit of away movement.

Nick Gubbins is forward to Ben Green at the other end, pushing a three down to long off.

    The innings lead is five.

  6. 150 up for Glamorganpublished at 13:35 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 154-2

James Taylor overpitches and Kiran Carlson's cover drive is perfect, sending the ball whistling to the boundary.

Taylor does it again with his final delivery and Carlson's eye is unerring as he finds the boundary once more.

The Glamorgan lead is now 171

  7. 50 runs

50 for Tom Clarkpublished at 13:34 BST 16 September

    Sussex 106-2 v Notts 240

Tom Clark sweeps away from Liam Patterson-White and that brings up his half century.

Clark has hit seven fours and reaches his 50 in 73 balls. A decent knock by the Sussex number three so far.

Notts are in desperate need of wickets to stem the Sussex flow. This third-wicket partnership with Charlie Tear is worth 71 runs.

  8. Postpublished at 13:34 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 144-2

It's very interesting watching an 'old school' innings like this one by Asa Tribe.

Those unconvinced by Emilio Gay as an England red-ball opener seemingly believe moving Jacob Bethell or Jordan Cox to the top of the order is the way to go, even though they are not specialists in that position.

WICKETpublished at 13:34 BST 16 September

    Luxton b Overton 3 - Yorkshire 212 & 4-1 v Somerset 201

Bowled through the gate! That ball came back sharply!

Craig Overton has his 50th first class wicket of the season and that's a just about unplayable delivery to Will Luxton.

The middle stump is ripped out of the ground and Sam Whiteman is in early at three for Yorkshire.

Re Dave @ 13.03. Not yet but Sussex are still in their first innings so there is still a chance.

    Terence, Sicily

Probably best to wait until the Sussex innings is over before saying that there have been no batting points in Division 1.

    Big Vince, Birmingham

Indeed, Terence and Vince. Sussex are going along nicely too.

  11. 100 runs

100 up for Sussexpublished at 13:31 BST 16 September

    Sussex 102-2 v Notts 240

Four more for Sussex as Olly Stone finds Charlie Tear's outside edge but it races away to third man.

Tear then gets a more convincing boundary with a nice flick of the wrists through mid-wicket.

And Sussex have reached three figures for their first innings in the 29th over.

  12. Postpublished at 13:31 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 4-0 v Somerset 201

Adam Lyth gets a single off the first ball.

Will Luxton gets an inside edge on the pad to the chagrin of bowler Lewis Gregory and that's two more runs.

Another inside edge takes the ball behind square for one.

Craig Overton has the ball at the Howard Stand End.

  13. Play resumes at Headingleypublished at 13:28 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 0-0 v Somerset 201

Somerset looked absolutely cooked at 86-8 this morning before 50s from Craig Overton and Migael Pretorius revived the innings.

That was a record ninth-wicket stand of 90 for Somerset by the pair.

An 11-run advantage is negligible at best as the Yorkshire openers Adam Lyth and Will Luxton take their places - with more than a little pressure transferred back on to them.

Somerset captain Lewis Gregory will bowl to Adam Lyth.

  14. Postpublished at 13:26 BST 16 September

    Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 40-2

This is excellent from Matt Quinn. Marcus Harris is the new man to the crease for Lancashire and he can't get bat on ball in his first two deliveries - not for the want of trying.

Quinn beats the bat twice before Harris flicks off his legs for two to get off the mark and off a pair.

Kent's lead is down to just 13 runs, but they've taken two wickets already.

  15. Postpublished at 13:26 BST 16 September

    Essex 134 & 83-1 v Warwickshire 191

Noah Thain has been moved up the order to bat at three after a finger injury ruled captain Tom Westley out of the remainder of this one.

Thain is going along ok with nine from 25 balls alongside Dean Elgar who is on 22 from 47.

The duo have stretched out Essex's lead to 26.

  16. Postpublished at 13:26 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 30-0

Felix Organ drives Ian Holland and gets an inside edge into mid-wicket for one.

The gap is down to three.

Two to Nick Gubbins driving from the crease to deep cover.

Leg side from Ian Holland, tapped by Gubbins fine for one and that's the innings deficit wiped out.

    Ben StokesImage source, Getty Images

His first three overs cost 25 runs, either side of lunch, but now Ben Stokes has the breakthrough for Durham.

Dan Lategan drives at a ball well wide of off stump and Kasey Aldridge takes a stinging catch by his right shoulder at second slip.

  18. Postpublished at 13:24 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 138-2

Back to back fours for Asa Tribe, who leg glances Tom Lawes and then plays the next with soft hands to guide it past first slip.

The Glamorgan opener is 66 not out and they lead by 155.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:22 BST 16 September

    Bohannon c Northeast b Quinn 14 (Kent 214 v Lancashire 161 & 38-2)

    Kent strike early after lunch.

Matt Quinn has bowled well to start his spell and he gets his reward, finding the outside edge of Josh Bohannon's bat and Sam Northeast takes the catch at second slip.

Quinn's figures are 1-0 from 1.1 overs. Always nice when the wickets column has a higher figure than the runs column...

  20. Postpublished at 13:21 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 26-0

Ben Green is of course back in the team after recent injury.

Nick Gubbins leaves the bowler late outside off stump.

Green is round the wicket. Gubbins drives but there's no run.
