    Wharton b Ball 6 - Yorkshire 212 & 21-3 v Somerset 201

Perfection from Jake Ball, sneaking between bat and pad to take the top of off stump.

Too good for James Wharton, who looked to be trying to turn that ball into the leg side. Too straight for the shot.

Here comes Matthew Revis. The lead is 32.

More of a push really. The over goes for a total of 15.

Single to Whiteman in the on side.

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 189-2

Following the ball change, Surrey hand it to Dan Worrall who has been their most threatening bowler today.

Kiran Carlson is moving across his stumps to try and combat the swing - he'd better watch out in case he gets bowled behind his legs.

Worrall hasn't tried the leg stump line yet, though. It's a maiden.

  11. Postpublished at 14:13 BST 16 September

    Sussex 130-2 v Notts 240

    Essex 134 & 102-2 v Warwickshire 191

    Dean ElgarImage source, Shutterstock

That is likely the last time an Essex home crowd will see Dean Elgar in action with the former South Africa captain Dean Elgar set to retire at the end of the season.

The 39-year-old mentioned his young family in South Africa as one of the reasons he had decided to call time on his illustrious career.

Left-hander Elgar represented his country for over 11 years and scored 14 centuries and 23 half-centuries, amassing a total of 5,347 runs in 86 Tests, having made his debut in November 2012 against Australia at The Waca where he made two ducks.

Elgar has shown his run-scoring prowess in all formats of the game, scoring 2,594 runs in 104 T20 matches, and a massive 18,981 runs in 279 first class matches.

He will play his final game for Essex in the last game of the season next week away at Glamorgan.

  17. Postpublished at 14:07 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 189-2

    An interesting move by Surrey.

They call up Adam Thomas - yet to take a wicket in first-class cricket - to bowl his medium pace.

Ben Foakes, who has just received some treatment to his left hand, is up to the stumps.

Three easy singles from that one. The umpires want to change the ball, which is 52 overs old.

  18. Postpublished at 14:05 BST 16 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 10-2 v Somerset 201

Great line and length from Craig Overton. James Wharton defends.

A slightly shorter ball into the stumps is deflected leg side for one.

The runs dry to a trickle at Headingley. The Yorkshire lead is 21.

  19. 6 runs

Glamorgan lead by 200published at 14:03 BST 16 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 183-2

Short ball from Auqib Nabi and Kiran Carlson plays a cramped-for-room hook shot which nonetheless clears the rope at long leg.

Six runs and Glamorgan are exactly 200 in front with eight wickets still standing.

Surrey followers perhaps have reason now to start getting anxious.

  20. Postpublished at 14:03 BST 16 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 212 & 55-0

Felix Organ survives an LBW shout against Tom Scriven - just outside the line of off stump.

The next ball is on the pads and glanced behind square leg for four.
