    Notts 377 & 88-7 v Hants 304

Joe Clarke the key man now for Notts and he square cuts Scott Currie for four before driving an overpitched ball from Manny Lumsden to the boundary in the following over. Clarke is now 32 not out.

    Reece c sub b Singh 53 (Derbys 275-6 & 300 v Kent 219)

An important knock by Luis Reece comes to an end.

He looks to lift Ekansh Singh behind square but sub fielder Matt Quinn takes a very smart catch at deep backward square leg.

    Derbyshire now lead by 356.

    Eskinazi c Vaughan b Overton 9 (Leicestershire 60-5 v Somerset, target: 523)

    Stephen Eskinazi now goes!

He cannot do much with this ball but, like many of his other colleagues, push it into the slip cordon where Archie Vaughan awaits.

Craig Overton now has three wickets and two catches in this innings.

  4. 350 up for Durhampublished at 14:33 BST 10 September

    Durham 252 & 350-7 v Middlesex 203

That is well worked through midwicket for four by Colin Ackermann off Seb Morgan and it's the 350 up for Durham.

    They now lead by 399.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Ryan Patelpublished at 14:31 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 143-3

Jack Carson bowls to Ryan Patel.

Cut away for one and that's a half century off 97 balls with five fours.

Ari Karvelas replaces Jaydev Unadkat from the Cromwell Road End.

    Finch lbw Chahal 0 (Worcs 200 & 182 v Northants 289)

    Innings over at New Road.

Yuzi Chahal takes two in four balls as Adam Finch is leg before, giving the leg-spinner figures of 4-46.

Northamptonshire need to score 94 to register their fifth win of the season and climb into second place in the Division Two table, pending the outcome of Kent's game at Derby.

  7. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 72-7 f/o

Another LBW appeal, this time from Kuldeep Yadav against Paul Walter but that hasn't straightened enough.

Walter sweeps square and the ball just bounces in front of the fielder.

One more run added. Zaman Akhter survives another LBW shout and then blocks the last ball of the over down the ground.

  8. wicket

    Mir c Bartlett b Chahal 2 (Worcs 200 & 182-9 v Northants 289)

Inside edge onto pad by Usama Mir, the ball lobs into the air and forward short leg George Bartlett steps across the pitch to take the catch. Three wickets for Yuzi Chahal now.

  9. 50 runs

50 up for Leicestershirepublished at 14:27 BST 10 September

    Leicestershire 51-4 v Somerset (Target: 523)

The 50 is up for Leicestershire, which admittedly is little comfort in the grand scheme of things at Grace Road.

Nick Kelly remains resilient at the crease, there on one from 26 deliveries and digging in, having just worn one on the arm from Craig Overton, who then beat the edge a couple of deliveries later with a real beauty of a ball.

  10. Postpublished at 14:26 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 140-3

Ben Foakes moves into the 40s clipping Jaydev Unadkat fine for four.

The partnership with Ryan Patel (48*) is worth 93.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:24 BST 10 September

    Snater lbw b Bess 4 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 71-7 f/o

Shane Snater is in no mood to hang around and he's off the mark third ball with a flashing drive through long off all along the deck for four.

Dom Bess floats one up to Paul Walter in the next over and the opener misses an attempted mow over mid-wicket.

Walter gets a single off the third ball and this time Snater defends.

Struck on the pad. Given! No shot offered as the ball pitches in off, turns and strikes the pad in front of leg.

Feels marginal but Snater goes and Zaman Akhter comes in.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Luis Reecepublished at 14:22 BST 10 September

    Derbys 264-5 & 300-5 v Kent 219

Luis Reece raises his bat out in the middle in Derby.

Fifty runs, 101 balls, two fours, one six and a rather heavy whack on the helmet. This has been a really important knock for Derbyshire on the face of it, because their lead is now 345.

  13. wicket

    Sheat b Currie 16 (Notts 377 & 75-7 v Hants 304)

Good ball from Scott Currie and Fraser Sheat's brief cameo is over.

Notts are just 148 ahead with only three wickets left.

"If it gets above 200, that's a bit hairy"," says BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James in response to what kind of target Hampshire would be comfortable chasing.

  14. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:20 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 & 74-6 v Hants 304

Superb timing by Fraser Sheat, who clips an overpitched delivery from Manny Lumsden over square leg - easy as you like - for six.

Looks like his replacement bat has a decent sweet spot.

Lumsden has 2-25 from his five overs so far. The Notts lead is 147.

  15. sun

Play resumes in Chester-le-Streetpublished at 14:19 BST 10 September

    Durham 252 & 340-7 v Middlesex 203

The rain has relented and the light is sufficiently good enough for play to begin again in the north east.

Colin Ackermann and Brydon Carse, the South African-born Netherlands and England pair are in the search of some quick runs for the home side.

Lancashire cricket club has been in existence for 162 years and never finished bottom of the championship. With Gloucestershire in such a strong position and Lancashire facing the top 2 in the last two matches , there is every chance that Lancashire will finish bottom this year .

    Bell c Bairstow b Kuldeep 28 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 66-6 f/o

Kuldeep Yadav is into his 10th over of the innings.

Out! George Bell is caught driving loosely from the crease with an outside edge to keeper-captain Jonny Bairstow! Turn and bounce out of the rough.

Essex are in tatters and now Shane Snater joins Paul Walter in the middle.

  18. Postpublished at 14:17 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 & 67-6 v Hants 304

Almost another one for Manny Lumsden as a poor shot by Fraser Sheat lobs into the covers but just clears Nick Gubbins.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:15 BST 10 September

    Shetty st Bracey b Kishore 6 (Lancashire 64-5 v Glos - target 248)

    Ooh, this is close!

A super delivery from Sai Kishore to Arav Shetty spins past the bat and the bails are whipped off by James Bracey.

Appealing for a stumping, not out.

But the next ball is a carbon copy with a different outcome. Stumped with Shetty's back foot on the line!

Great combination between bowler and wicketkeeper and the youngster is on his way.

    Notts 377 & 60-6 v Hants 304

So, what are Fraser Sheat's batting credentials?

He averaged 21.62 in first-class cricket before this match, with three 50s to his credit.

Notts could certainly do with some runs from him this afternoon.
