Mitch Killeen gets a single. Three close catchers in for Sam Cook as he takes guard to Kuldeep Yadav, saved this time by an inside edge past leg slip for one.

Killeen nearly bobs a catch to forward short leg and misses with a reverse sweep.

Killen nudges wide of slip for one and he keeps the strike.

  2. 100 runs

100 up for Lancashirepublished at 14:53 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 100-5 v Glos - target 248

Will Williams is brought back into the Gloucestershire attack and Rocky Flintoff immediately flicks him excellently for four.

It's so well timed that neither of the two converging fielders can stop it.

Flintoff moves to 40 not out.

  3. 6 runs

    Notts 377 & 103-9 v Hants 304

Every run vital now for the home side.

    Walter st Bairstow b Bess 48 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 106-9 f/o

Dom Bess floats one up to Paul Walter who is across to sweep.

A decent LBW shout is turned down.

Walter lofts a ball leg side... A running Ben Cliff has it but the ball bounces out of his hands and bobbles over the rope for four.

    Gone this time though!

Walter is forward for a wild swing, misses and he's stumped by Jonny Bairstow.

The end is nigh as Sam Cook comes in to bat.

  8. wicket

    Carse b Higgins 16 (Durham 252 & 364-8 v Middlesex 203)

A glorious drive from Brydon Carse brings him four off Ryan Higgins.

But the bowler has his revenge next ball as he cleans Carse up with an excellent ball.

Ben Raine comes out at number 10, a more than useful player that low in the order.

Running out of partners, Joe Clarke crashes Manny Lumsden just wide of Felix Organ at mid-off for four.

But he then tries to hoist the ball over mid-wicket, gets a leading edge and the catch is taken safely by Nick Gubbins.

That's 4-35 for Lumsden now - and Notts lead by 170.

  10. 50 runs

50 for Ben Foakespublished at 14:45 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 158-3

That's his fourth score of 50 or more this season - two of which Foakes converted into centuries.

A bit of luck with a thick outside edge wide of the slips facing Ari Karvelas to complete the landmark in 83 balls with a total of seven fours.

A fine and crucial innings for Surrey nonetheless.

  11. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:45 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 90-5 v Glos - target 248

Rocky Flintoff takes on Matt Taylor and sends a hook shot over the square leg boundary for a maximum.

That takes him on to 35, his highest first-class score to date.

  12. Postpublished at 14:45 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 & 93-8 v Hants 304

The wicketless Kyle Abbott - we'll say that again, 'wicketless' - retusn for a second spell and Dillon Pennington drives to the cover boundary.

Manny Lumsden continues at the other end - the eighth over of this highly impressive spell by the teenager (although he has been guilty of four no-balls).

  13. Postpublished at 14:43 BST 10 September

    Northants 6-0 v Worcs - target 94

Fortuitous boundary for Ricardo Vasconcelos at the end of Tom Taylor's opening over as the ball squirts away off the edge and down to third man.

  14. wicket

    Kelly c Rew b Overton 6 (Leicestershire 65-5 v Somerset, target 523)

Leicestershire are crumbling now. This could end quite quickly.

Nick Kelly is the latest to go, for 6 from 31 deliveries.

It might have been a little bit of frustration or a loss of concentration, but Kelly swipes at another probing Overton delivery which comes down the track to him and succeeds in only nicking it through to James Rew behind.

The end would appear nigh now for Leicestershire.

  15. Postpublished at 14:41 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 153-3

Four runs to Ryan Patel, cutting Ari Karvelas through point.

That's the 100 partnership between the fourth wicket pair of Foakes and Patel off 164 balls.

Two overs later - four leg byes brings up the innings 150 in the 51st over.

  16. Postpublished at 14:39 BST 10 September

    Northants 2-0 v Worcs - target 94

This should be plain sailing for Northants - but given events at a number of other grounds in this round of games, perhaps they shouldn't take anything for granted.

Ricardo Vasconcelos and Luke Procter open the batting and the former gets the scoreboard moving with a couple off Tom Taylor's first ball.

  17. Five-wicket haul for Kuldeeppublished at 14:38 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 84-8 f/o

That sensational Akhter dismissal gives Kuldeep figures of 12-3-37-5.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:36 BST 10 September

    Akhter b Kuldeep 7 - Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 84-8 f/o

Paul Walter advances to 36 in adversity with a firm clip on the front foot through mid wicket off Dom Bess. Four runs.

Zaman Akhter is back to Kuldeep Yadav, pushing the ball through the leg side for a four of his own.

Akhter sweeps to deep square for two. He tries another sweep but doesn't get the ball away this time.

Bowled him! That turns sharply into Akhter and smacks into middle and off.

No shot offered and Akhter probably thought it was missing off. It pitched a long way outside.

Here is Mitch Killeen, bat in hand.

  19. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 81-5 v Glos - target 248

Ben Walkden plays a ball from Sai Kishore down between the legs of James Bracey and runs down for four.

In the next over, he tries a pull shot off Matt Taylor and gets a huge top edge, but nobody can catch it running back from slip and Walkden gets a second lucky four in two overs.

    They all count though!

  20. wicket

    Stone c Brown b Lumsden 2 (Notts 377 & 88-8 v Hants 304)

That is 10 catches in the match now for Hampshire's Ben Brown.

Manny Lumsden takes his third wicket as Stone Swishes at a wide one and top edges to the keeper.

    Notts lead by 161.
