  1. 50 runs

50 for Lancashirepublished at 13:51 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 50-3 v Glos - target 248

This is a fascinating contest between JT Langridge and Rocky Flintoff.

The left-armer is keeping the batter honest and fancies his chances of a wicket, but when he is too full off the last ball, Flintoff handsomely drives for four.

He has 20 off 21 balls with all his runs coming in boundaries - a couple of glorious ones and a couple of streaky ones.

And from the next ball of Will Williams' over, a single for Marcus Harris brings up Lancashire's 50.

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 41-5 f/o

Four runs for George Bell, driving Kuldeep through extra cover to reach double figures.

Bell picks up four more in the next over facing Matt Revis, guiding the ball away through the off side in the same region.

    Hay c Brown b Lumsden 1 (Notts 377 & 46-5 v Hants 304)

Two in successive overs for young Manny Lumsden.

"That's a wicket-taking ball all day long," says BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James.

Mitch Hay falls to an exact replica of the delivery which accounted for Jack Haynes and the Ben Brown catches in the match tally rises to nine.

    Incredible turnaround in this game.

  4. Postpublished at 13:47 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 100-3

A bit of width by the left arm seamer Sean Hunt and Ben Foakes leaves the ball outside off stump.

Foakes survives an LBW shout to a ball that nips back. Too high.

Foakes gets an inside edge going forward to block the next ball and that's gone fine for four.

That's the 50 partnership with Ryan Patel in 92 balls - and the innings 100 in 37 overs.

    Gumbs b Overton 7 (Leicestershire 25-3 v Somerset, target 523)

    Gumbs is gone!

The very next delivery after a gorgeous cover drive to the boundary in Craig Overton's first over of the innings, Sheridon Gumbs departs.

He leaves a ball which pitches outside of off but jags back and crashes into his stumps. Somerset have their third and it is beginning to feel ominous for Leicestershire.

  6. Postpublished at 13:42 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 30-5 f/o

Paul Walter defends Matthew Revis into mid-off and sees out the over with a solid push down the ground. Maiden over.

Yorkshire may be a little held up by the weather - if Essex can hold out into the late afternoon when there's a chance of rain in Leeds.

  7. Postpublished at 13:42 BST 10 September

    Lancashire 39-3 v Glos - target 248

A very eventful over from JT Langridge to Rocky Flintoff.

Second ball is driven hard by Flintoff and it goes wide of third slip and down for four.

Then there is a big appeal from the fifth ball as Langridge raps the batter on the pads.

    Not out...

There must have been enough doubt about whether it pitched on or outside leg-stump to be given as it would have hit the stumps.

    Haynes c Brown b Lumsden 4 (Notts 377 & 44-4 v Hants 304)

    Manny LumsdenImage source, Shutterstock

What a delivery from 17-year-old Manny Lumsden as he takes his second wicket in senior red-ball cricket.

Jack Haynes edges a good one that offers to leave him off the pitch and keeper Ben Brown takes his eighth catch of the game.

"Well done, son" or the equivalent is said in unison for as Lumsden accept the congratulatory hand slaps.

    Leicestershire 21-2 v Somerset (Target: 523)

It has been hard work for Leicestershire since Somerset's innings ended through declaration, but Hamza Shaikh has just played a lovely shot to relieve a modicum of pressure.

Miguel Pretorius had only gone for three runs in five and a half overs, but with this ball the tally of runs he has conceded doubles.

The ball is over-pitched and on the legs and Shaikh stylishly clips through mid-wicket for three.

  10. Postpublished at 13:39 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 94-3

Ben Foakes moves to 21 with four runs clipped off the hip to fine leg - facing Sean Hunt.

Conditions easing a little for Surrey - who have fought back valiantly from 47-3.

    Worcs 200 & 154-6 v Northants 289

Full toss by Yuzi Chahal and Tom Taylor clubs it over mid-wicket for six - the treatment it fully deserved. The Worcestershire total passes 150 and they lead by 65.

  12. ouch!

Postpublished at 13:38 BST 10 September

    Derbys 217-5 & 300 v Kent 219

Ouch. Luis Reece has just ducked into a short ball from Hasan Mahmud which did not get up quite as high as he had anticipated and he ends up taking it flush on the helmet.

Thankfully the man himself, smiling as Mahmud checks on him, seems initially okay, but there are concussion protocols which must now be adhered to.

Rain stops playpublished at 13:37 BST 10 September

    Durham 252 & 335-7 v Middlesex 203

The Durham promotion push is on hold as the rain forces the players off in Chester-le-Street.

They lead by 384 so this may be the point at which they decide they have enough runs in the bank.

  14. Postpublished at 13:37 BST 10 September

    Yorkshire 390 v Essex 171 & 30-5 f/o

Kuldeep Yadav is in his fourth over with figures of 3-4.

He floats one up to George Bell, who drives to deep cover for two.

Bell tries a sweep and misses down the leg side.

He defends late from the crease and in spite of it all looks composed.

  15. Declaration can't be far awaypublished at 13:37 BST 10 September

    Durham 253 & 322-5 v Middlesex 203

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I can't see Durham batting too much longer this afternon. At lunch they were already 371 runs ahead and they will want to give themselves plenty of time to try and run through the Middlesex order later today.

There is, of course, tomorrow as well, if needed. But Durham know a win will see them promoted with two games to go and the title would more or less be guaranteed as well. If Kent fail to win they are champions.

Ben McKinney was out for 184 just before lunch so misses out on becoming the third Durham player to score two double hundreds in the same season.

There is one worry in the air. The chance of rain. The radar doesn't look good for the next hour or so. Bad light could also be a problem.

  16. Postpublished at 13:36 BST 10 September

    Notts 377 & 40-3 v Hants 304

First change by Hants as Scott Currie replaces Kyle Abbott after a spell of 0-8 from seven overs.

Joe Clarke drives Currie backward of point and that will bring him four runs.

  17. Postpublished at 13:32 BST 10 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 88-3

Runs for Ryan Patel, via a flashing drive through backward point for four off the bowling of Sean Hunt.

He gets a single and keeps the strike.

Tom Haines has replaced Jack Carson at the other end, bowling with a slip and silly mid on. Patel defends.

No hat-trick for Kuldeep Yadav as Luc Benkenstein drives down the ground and eventually the Essex pair abort a single in time.

Benkenstein is off the mark with a swivel pull from the crease through mid-wicket for four.

Edged and caught by George Hill low at slip!

Benkenstein is foxed by the turn and here comes George Bell, who scored a fine half-century for Essex in the first innings and was batting as recently as this morning.

    Aldridge c Robson b Helm 4 (Durham 252 & 333-7 v Middlesex 203)

A second wicket with the second new ball for Middlesex.

A fine ball from Tom Helm which is shaped in and then holds its line just a touch is edged by Kasey Aldridge low to second slip, where Sam Robson takes it smartly.

Durham have a lead of 382 under grey skies. Are they missing a bit of a trick in not declaring and get the ball in hand in these conditions?
